Combing websites for new contents is part of everyone's daily routine. If you are tired of scrolling through the same articles on a regular basis, then you should try Copernic Tracker. It can monitor websites of your choice and it lets you know if new contents are available. If any changes are made on a website, the program will display system tray notifications, on-screen messages and it will even send email alerts.

Copernic Tracker is free to try for a limited period of time, but without any functionality restrictions. It works on Windows XP, as well as all later editions, up to Windows 8, but it doesn't provide support for 64-bit operating systems. Installing the software does not involve any complicated settings and it takes less than a minute to complete the process.

Tracking tasks can be organized in folders and sub-folders, on a user friendly interface. Selecting a task will display the tracked web page, on the software's integrated web browser, on the lower half of the interface. You can check single or all monitored pages, pause tasks, create new ones and perform other actions, by selecting a series of options on a toolbar.

New tracking tasks can be defined on a tabbed window, on which you have to specify an address and make a series of configurations, based on how you wish to be notified and what contents to look for. You can set Copernic Tracker to alert you if a certain number of words are changed or if the changed words match a user-defined query. Additionally, the program can alert you if new links or images are found.

When it comes to notifications, you can opt for default alerts or set Copernic Tracker to display system tray notifications, on-screen messages or both. It is also possible to prevent it from displaying any alerts. Furthermore, the program is capable of sending email notifications to a user-defined address or SMS alerts to a phone number. A few automatic actions can be enabled as well. When new contents are available, the program will save images, alert you if an error occurs and more. You can also decide to keep a maximum number of revisions, clean them up or keep all revisions.
